So we're working on a video project at work, and we all LOVE the GoPro Hero cams - so we wanted to use them to augment our shoot. Through the course of our discussions, we're starting to think "why not just use GoPros for everything?" So - we put in an order for two, along with a full assortment of accessories and we're good to go. Then --- my good friend and colleague Beau Rapelye came up with an incredible idea. We want to shoot a combination of slow motion and stop action - and we have a 3D housing that holds 2 GoPros. So Beau is going to try and setup two cameras in the 3D housing - one shooting stop action while the other is shooting 60 fps. He's going a test this weekend, if it works I'll post an update next week. Maybe even include a short example (I'll have to ask Beau). What I learned, new way to use new technology to do something we couldn't have 3 years ago. ALL credit goes to Beau for an incredible, insightful idea. (photo from GoPro.com)

The importance of team

This may be a little obvious, but I was reminded today of how much fun creative work can be when you've got a great team assembled. Get them all involved early. Explain the goal and what's been done - then open it up for other ideas...and then just keep it on course.

portrait of Joe

This is a page out of my Moleskine sketchbook. I struggled to capture the essence of Joe's "look" - FINALLY hit it with this pen and ink portrait. I had to let go a little bit and not focus on accuracy...and instead relied on slight exaggeration. It worked out perfectly.

This link was forwarded to me by my friend - Ian. It's an online 30-day course that takes you through HTML and CSS...for FREE. All credit goes to Tuts+ Premium and instructor Jeffrey Way. My first experience in learning HTML was in 2000 and I filled a 3-inch ring binder with free pdf's I downloaded and printed from various online sites.

I composed some simple sites using HTML and Simpletext text editor....how things have changed.
